Anyone noticed Blogger has changed the image uploader AGAIN?

Having trouble? Maybe my tutorial will help. I've put this on my Computery blog.

I noticed in my post below that the pix don't open into larger ones from the thumbnail images - a perfect example of how frustrating Blogger is at the moment. I do wish they'd leave things alone...

PINK SATURDAY

My alter ego...

This is my first Pink Saturday post for ages - time has a nasty habit of slipping away.

This week I'm posting early - tomorrow (Saturday) is the stamp show at Alexandra Palace in London - all I'll say about it is: bring a suitcase (on wheels) and a lot of money. Can't wait! I'm going with an open mind, which is always fatal...

Just think - pull down the roller top and hide all that mess! And a nice drawer for paperwork instead of little piles here and there... Love that birdcage by the lamp (always wanted one). This is my kind of decorating: nice pieces, nice clean look. Shame I never seem to achieve it! Lots of designers say Less Is More. In my case, More Is More.

Here some pix of the most amazing chair - the chair will be translated into a album or book at some point, I'm sure.

Left-hand page open to show extension. Note the cross-garter ribbon effect at the top of the pockets and the right of the page. The slide mounts show a detail of the corseted woman (on the left page) and are mounted over the magazine cover.

There's definitely a theme re corsetry here... an obsession I didn't realise I had! Although I do remember going to school wearing a roll-on girdle and stockings - about two years later they introduced tights (panty hose). What a revelation! Freedom! Comfort!

JOZART'S NEW BLOG MAKEOVER

Just finished JoZart's new blog design! Such fun!

Jo loves colour - so I went to town - the background and buttons are all taken from Jo's own spray starch backgrounds. So not only did I have a fun time working with the images, I learnt something new as well!

Who knew spray starch would work so well, both as a medium and as a fixative? I'm allergic to shaving foam (used to do backgrounds with that) and this is so much easier than mixing up bookbinders' paste to make paste papers. I'm even able to use my Brusho powders (only had them 3 years - most still unopened, since I learnt they weren't colourfast and non-permanent mixed with water) as the starch will FIX them! Hurrah! And I get to use up all that PearlEx powder I no longer use...

But I digress... Jo's had a lovely writeup on Inspirations - a profile about her blog and her art (lots of eyecandy, so do go and look!)

Now her new makeover is all done, just in time (I finished it earlier this afternoon) and I've made a Spray Starch Backgrounds tutorial button for the sidebar, I'm a happy bunny!

I'VE BEEN REVIEWED - AGAIN!

Out of the blue, I just got an email letting me know I've been reviewed on Scribnia, and inviting me to the panel of writers! 

Well, blow me down with a feather and get me a stiff drink! I'm gobsmacked (and delighted). This has been one roller-coaster week, and no mistake!

A SAD GOODBYE TO A GREAT LADY

It is with a heavy heart I'm posting that darling CC has passed away.

She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.

I designed her blog header & button for her, and we had such fun together choosing the right images from her favourite Sunbonnet Sue characters. I feel as though the sun has gone down today.
